Our creative team talk through some of their latest visual chaos.

Behind The Design: July Graphics

We linked up with Chris and Jacko, the creative minds behind some of the visual chaos from our July drop, to chat design inspiration, creative influences and how some of their latest graphic came together.

Chris – Design Lead

“The occult visual propagation machine roars into action. When building this range out there was plenty of long research nights spent drawing inspiration from scattered tattoos, punk and anything sharp.

Gritty, dark, busy and loud was really what I was trying to build around creatively, really trying to emphasise this direction of visual chaos. Referencing violence, death and the afterlife, I wanted to explore some heavier subject matters and juxtaposed it with hits of neon prints and graphic colour palettes”

Jacko – Creative Lead

"The product side of design is new to me as I’m usually focused on the photo and campaign creative…but I’ve been loving designing some tees.

The brief from Chris was simply create visual chaos…so I threw together a few options, my pick being the Disorder Tee. I hit it with bold, puff print colours on top of a gritty, screen-printed cracked skull…

I was embracing elements I picked up from tattoo culture, and tried to incorporate symbolic motifs like barbed wire, spiders, and skulls and go against the tone brought by the brighter highlight colours. Stoked with how it came up!"
